I'm surprised no one else has commented either. I'm ready to see how you do the fuel pump and other EFI related stuff. I've started gathering parts for when I eventually swap mine over to EFI. Since my truck won't be too wild and the computer was much cheaper, I plan on sticking with with a Speed Density set up instead of going MAF.

I've been watching. I like what you've done so far! I'm interested to see if the hood is going to close with that huge snorkel on top of that 5.0.

Look at it again and you'll see that it's no taller than if you had a round breather on a carburetor. It'll fit just fine.

That's good to hear I didn't figure it was going to get in the way but... I have a 62 unibody I'm putting a supercharger 5.4 lightining motor into and it did sit to high so I had to build a custom hood for.

I've got that same engine in a BMW with a significantly smaller engine bay. It fits.

Mine's actually a 347 but here's a 5.0L in my friend's BMW of the same model. There's still plenty of room for a strut brace and everything.

Don't laugh, but the first thing that caught my eye was your grass. I thought, "where is this guy from, he has grass already" and sure enough, Phoenix! I'm in Mesa.

I just bought a '73 and haven't picked it up yet. Getting ideas for what I am going to have to do to it (or can). Might leave it alone if the 360 runs good enough.

Dennis I have irrigation also so the grass grow fast. Man nice and hot today... Ecology auto parts on 27th Av and Buckeye always has a dent side or 2 if you need any parts.

Last weekend I went to you pull it and got fan out of a Tbird. Fits pretty good and run greats. I have some pieces of aluminum I plan on using to make a bracket with.

BBK Headers

Ok I haven't seen any one say yes 5.0 mustang headers fit so I will say they fit so far. Now after saying that I haven't hooked up the shift linkage yet... The only thing I needed do is dimple one of the pipes a little bit to clear the steering box.

Nice thing about the redhead it makes a good marking place to adjust the header.

Yes there is an air gap I plan on making it a little better before I bolt them on.

Those BBK headers are an excellent choice. What most guys do though is run the driver's sider header upside down to clear the steering box.
