Any chance Ford has any plans to export a F250 right hand drive To Australia?

There is a massive market of tradie vehicles being a 3.0 lt T/D and are not competent of truly pulling 3500kg or more.

Currently to purchase a new F250 you have to go to a specialist who imports a truck, converts it to right hand drive and charges a premium price starting at wait for it ..................$120,000

If Ford can export to Australia and have a starting price of approx $70k
You would sell thousands

Come on we need your F250 here and ready to go

Quick Question:

1. Will the 2015 Auto tranny be just as aggressive with the upshifts as the 2011, 2012, 2013, etc.?? It always wants to be in the highest (6th) gear. Always.


Note:
The tranny always wants to be in the highest gear possible. But it doesn't know that when you are slowing down (rush hour traffic), that it should downshift. Not until the gas pedal is pushed down a little...does it want to downshift. ALWAYS wants to be in the highest gear...meaning 6th. Always.

Another manual regen question for the non cab and chassis. Is getting this possible through an IDS update for those of us who would even pay a few bucks at the dealer for it in the 2015 after purchasing one? And any plans for a larger fuel tank in the short bed for us RV pullers who hate fueling up often. The extra power and tranny improvements are nice and we love our current 6.7 pulling power, but the tiny fuel tank and worrying about fueling often is a real pain. Thanks for your feedback

PLEASE consider the poor rust belt owners!
I constantly see two year old super duty's
with bed rail rust. Rear wheel liners should come standard.

Fuel capacity

I have installed the biggest Titan tank I could on all the SD's I have owned. Have the 65 gallon on my '12 KR LB dually. For us that haul 5th wheels and such, 37.5 gallons just don't hack it. I do appreciate the IDS download for the bigger tanks tho, Thanks for that! MTE now 1007, based on 15.5 MPG.

I think that demand for manual transmissions has fallen off because Dealers didn't stock them.. Most purchases are made by buying what is on the lot..

Another point I would like to make about Manual transmission is that they are better on fuel economy than an automatic.. I average 2 MPG better fuel economy with my manual transmission

Another vote here for vinyl floors being offered on different trim models. And why are some options only available in a big package? If I were to order a new truck, I'd love to have the keypad to unlock the truck on the door, but I don't want a 6 way power seat or adjustable pedals.

And for those rare few of us that actually work out of our truck, why did you get rid of the clip on the center console? Why can't you get a center console that doesn't cover the transmission hump and extend all the way to the dash? Some of us have long legs and like the idea of the extra leg room and a place to rest your foot on a trip.

Okay guys, time to get the discussion back on track.

The manual transmission isn't coming back and the reasons were outlined above. So let's stop dwelling on that and concentrate on questions about the actual production 2015 Super Duty which is the topic of the conversation here.

We all want answers to questions we have about the 2015 Super Duty and if we expect to get accurate, technically correct answers, we have to ask questions that pertain to the actual truck itself, not what we wish Ford would put back in them that they no longer do.

There are some good questions in here so far and we're hoping for some equally good answers when the Ford Team returns next Friday. I'm still waiting for them to answer mine as well.

With that, let's steer the discussion back to the actual 2015 Super Duty which is already in production and on many dealer lots across the country.

Seriously guys, let's keep this on topic. The folks from Ford are here to answer questions, not take a survey on future options. Anyone wishing to voice their opinion on what they'd like in the future should call the number for Customer Service and tell them. Maybe if enough people do they'll consider a change.

But this isn't the time or the place.

I think it's really cool that you care enough about your design to grab the bull by the horns on a truck junkie site like this.

I just brought home my new 2015 F350 Lariat the other nite and have a few questions.

I was under the impression that glow plugs were a thing of the past with the 6.7. I have the little yellow coil light in the dash and the diesel supplement guide mentions glow plugs.

1. Do I infact have glow plugs that go down into the combustion chamber or do I have intake manifold heater coils that are being called glow plugs?

2. Is this engine direct injection or does it have pre combustion chambers?

I thought that only pre combustion chamber engines used glow plugs and direct injected engines used manifold heaters.

Please set me on the straight and narrow.

I am pleased to say my 2015 F350 is on order so my questions is about towing. Are there plans to raise the max Fifth Wheel tow rating for the 2015 F350 SRW Diesel? A lot of us tow large fifth wheels to haul our tows but don’t want the extra headache of dual rear wheels. Like the super dutys towing the helicopters in the Ford magizine. 18k would be great for some of these new toy haulers.
