LOL!! Well then you might as well not fix it. If you aren't willing to spend even $300 then there is no use even thinking about fixing it. Drive it till it completely breaks and spend three times that.

guess I better do some price checking cuz I didn't think a rebuild kit be that much.

Cheapest rebuild kit after a quick search looks to be about $300 plus you will need gear lube and the additive from Ford for the LS so it will add up quick. Going to want to make sure you get a good kit to and not some Chinese kit that will be junk in another couple years. If you can replace the whole unit for that price or a little more it would be a lot less hassle then trying to rebuild I would think.
