302 headers replacement long tube or shorty?

302 headers replacement long tube or shorty?
I'm needing new headers and I have original stock shorty headers on my 73 f100. Engine is a 302. Will long tube headers mount directly to intake, or or should I replace with original headers? Long tubes best to convert from single to dual exhaust?
