14ft 1972 runabout. Fun to run around in. Rather vintage actually rather than the speakers and fishfinder I added which could be easily taken out to return to original condition. Throttle at about 3/4. Not bad for a 42 year old motor. These hydro-electric shifts though... getting gearcase oil is a PITA.

In storage right now so can't go take a better picture. River is STILL frozen and it is April 10th. Bad winter for sure.

Formula?
Don't need much towing when it's on a roller

You couldn't find a flawless one, so you're saying the 7.3s are junk. Hmm, I can read between the line.

Stewart knows me well, I really enjoy being part of this forum but if I only discussed blown head gaskets, broken manifold bolts and it was too serious don't think I'd be here everyday. FTE is a great place to get help when needed, learn from others, but at the end of the day enjoy being part of a fun group .

Now, I've heard that the 7.3's will do high 13's in the quarter! My only question is, is that being pulled by a bullet proofed modified 6.0 or pushed by one?
You can either push or pull the 7.3 to do 13's in the quarter, but the 7.3 will return the favor when the 6.0 blow head gasket on the way home.

I would like to make a few passes with mine, just to know....(I know it's nowhere near those kind of times!)
This is a diesel debate, 6.8 need not apply.

With a couple of spark plugs lodged in the hood, I would imagine it free breathing. And how else would a gas guzzling 6.8 get the power to tow the extra fuel tank if it isn't deep geared.

Oh? I thought that the debate was about speed and acceleration. It's only natural that the non-diesel subject matter experts get involved.

Don't get all huffy, it's not your fault you can't keep up with a Prius. (It's ok we all know).
I'll take my chances, feeling pretty good about my bullet proofing.
Oh on another note Comcast is looking for a 7.3 truck to film there new internet commercial "the slowsky's go for a drive". I'll put in a good word for ya.

Michael you're gonna have to change the thread title again if we're not careful.
