93 mustang 5.0 to 94 f150 5.0

another question on the swapping of a 93 mustang 5.0 to 94 f150 5.0, reading the related posts there were a couple of contradictions about firing order and which one to use, what other mods would be applicable for this swap? Appreciate all the help

If the Mustang engine is a 5.0 H.O. the firing order is different. Other things you need to use off the truck are the intake and throttle body, your accessory drive brackets, and I am quite sure the water pump on the H.O. turns opposite that of your truck because the belt routing is different, so in that case you will have to change the water pump. Im pretty sure you will have to change the oil pan and the oil pump pickup tube also. The computer (ECM) ???? Im pretty sure you need the one from the Mustang, not sure though.

I put a 5.0 HO in my 54 F100, using the Mustang harness and ECM. That way there was no changing of accessories. Did have to customize the radiator hoses, because in the 54, I set the engine as low as possible. The only problem with using the Mustang harness, is that because the truck is wider, it is too short to conform to the truck. You will have to make it reach point-to-point, or build or buy some extensions on some of the connections. Also the ECM mounts on the opposite side, so this may have to be customized.

Someone may offer an adaptive harness ???.

The firing order should be the same. My '94 has the 1,3,7,2...... firing order. Same as a Mustang, it also has a roller cam, too. So should yours.

actually i think your oil pan would be the same. and i think you can turn the mustang upper intake around so the throttle body would be on the drivers side like the truck. good luck
