2013 F350 Popping in Front End
2013 F350 4x4, 5k miles. When turning at slow speeds and going slow on rough surfaces my truck has a knock/popping coming from the front end. I live in interior Alaska so today I finally decided it was warm enough to crawl under it. Only thing I could find moving stuff around with my hand was the link? coming off the pitman arm. It seems tight but when I twist it I can get a sound similar to what I am hearing, but seems normal since all I was doing was twisting it on the ball joints. It is not a rare thing to make the noise, pretty much makes it on every slow turn and moderate pothole/bump I hit. Please tell me this isn't a normal sound that I will have to live with, any other ideas to check? I know it is under warranty and I should take it to the dealer, but the experience I've had with dealers I try to figure out what the cause is before taking it in because they seem more likely fix something if you already know what is wrong. Also if the truck is parked I can turn the wheel back and forth and cannot get it to make the same noise, only when moving.

That may be the Advance Trac doing its thing. Turn off the traction control then after the message clears hold the TC button for 5-8 seconds and you will get another message saying advancetrac off. My 14 makes all kinds of noises when turning over bumps. See if that eliminates the noise.
