Old Air vs. Vintage Air

Old Air vs. Vintage Air
Darn, heater core is leaking, time to either repair or upgrade to a/c.
Has anyone installed either of these "complete" kits in a 1953-55 ford f100?
If so, any issues with the installation? If you have worked with both, do you have a preference and why? Any other info to share regarding these kits would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I went with Vintage Air, but they don't make a sure fit combo for the 51. I bought the Gen II compact combo, added a condenser, trinary switch, and compressor mount.
A note on the compressor mount... Vintage Air has one for $125 that is plain steel and unpainted. I found one from CVF Racing for $3 more that is billet aluminum. Liked it so much that I also ordered an alternator bracket and crank and water pump pulleys. Great company, owned by a veteran, and everything is US made. Good prices and products with great shipping.
