is it worth fixing

Well to start I have a 00 Ex, it currently has Gibson exhaust, 6 or 8 inch lift, bushwacker cutout flares, 42`s on 20`s, interior is perfect, updated front end, updated mirrors,....

Here is my problem it's a northern truck, was never rust proofed. Truck was barley driven, but it sat outside. Now the cab corners, rockers, inner rockers are shot, ..so I went to 2 different shops, first shop said at least 10k to fix, 2nd shop was about the same, so here I am should I try to fix it or let it go and just use it till the body falls n half...

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated...

It depends on how much time and money you have to throw at this thing. For 10k you can probably buy a nice rust free rig from another state and swap your parts to the new vehicle.

Post some pics. Shops are likely going to be expensive. If you have any buddies that are good with stuff like that, you'd likely save a ton of money.

or consider a body swap. Is the frame good? If so all you'd have to do is reinstall the cutout flares on the new body

It's probably worth fixing if you plan on selling it?

Outer rockers dont appear that difficult provided theres enough inner left to attach to

What engine? Is it 4x4? Mileage? Is it a limited trim?

Frame is perfect, it's 4 wheel drive, it's a xlt, white with the gold/bronze mouldings on the bottom part of the doors, had matching fender flares....
150k miles on the v10, heads have been redone.

Wish I had pics on this tablet

Inner rockers are gone so there's nothing left to weld to, might look into the adhesive bond for metal

Since the frame is perfect I would look into doing a body swap

For that kind of money, I would buy another and swap out the parts that I wanted from the rusted one. Then sell the old one to recoup some of the money. There's plenty V-10's out there cheap.

After looking at what he did and glued the panel in instead of welding it looks pretty straight forward. Might even try to get a rattle can with what ever color you have and do what he di. I like it.

Trucks out there in California, are a lot cheaper than here, found one already lifted a few goodies for 7500, I'll defiantly watch the ads out there, I've got another 8 weeks before I can travel, just had back surgery, but looks like a plan for the summer

Thank you
