People are used to paying very little for it. Go to a dollar store and amazing what you can buy which would cost 5 times more in normal store for same junk. Need to give companies tax breaks to get them back. Little town her named lyndonville is loosing almost 90 jobs. Big hurt for northeast part

Unfortunately the northeast is pretty remote so not many decent jobs and lots of travel to get to better ones. State doesn't care. They only want second homes and ski areas. IBM is laying off more workers in Essex and those are big money jobs. Probably be some $350+k dollar homes going up for sale

That really sucks Jim. MD isnt any better. Alot of companies dont want to come here because of the taxes.

You'll probably be able to buy those homes for peanuts in a year. The banks don't want them.

Thats for sure Rick. The one house across the street from me has been for sale for a few months. The starting price was 139,900. Its now down to 119,900.

That is true Rick. I know the driveway needs repaired there. But the only way to repair the driveway is to take the tree down. The tree roots pushed a large section of the driveway.

They dropped the price so quickly because they were asking too much money for it. They had only paid 72K back in the mid 90's. Then when the older couple bought it several years ago they only paid about 118,900. The house was never worth 139,900.
