This is sure to annoy some of you:
I ordered the new tires for the "Little Suzie" runabout I've been working on (Suzuki Swift)
A set of all four brand new KUMHO All-Weathers via the TIRE RACK with $49.oo truck freight through UPS came to a grand total of:
$233.oo
What the little bird said; "CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP..."
* Stock size would have been 165/70/R13, but were unavailable. I'm getting 175/70/R13's
They should be here tomorrow, in the meantime I need to scrape the old rubber off of the rims and clean&polish the bead seats to prevent leaks.
What is interesting is that the weight of these tires alone is the same as the total weight of the rim and tire combo I was trying to make happen - but I have to convert the hubs to 5 on 4 1/2 first, vice 4 on 4 - which is an odd size that only BMW ever used much. And BMW rims are as expensive as a hooker for Bill Clinton...
Something else interesting - on June 11 2014, at the Chattanooga Riverbend Festival, the band "BOSTON" is scheduled to appear...
Now that would be a worthwhile test drive for the "Little Suzie"
On june 15 though ( I think I saw) they are also supposed to be at the Snowden Amphitheater in Southaven Miss - which is much closer

What I was sayin'? The tires got here early this afternoon! Woo-hoo...
I'm not real happy with the fifty dollar shipping and handling, but that was FAST
PS: On BOSTON...
I always thought that Tom Scholz was the main vocal - guess I should have paid more attention, but it wasn't one of the topics I was actively looking for on the internet, and I don't watch TV. You know the whole bunch of them are supposedly Vegetarians, right?
The album Corporate America even had some crap on it about "Vegetarians still rock"...
There's no telling what someone who's '~ a bit to the right of center' might do - is there?
But there is supposed to be a new album out now that I WILL collect (hit the streets in December) and Tom Scholz really seems to be up about the whole tour this year.

Great day yesterday. Slept in a little and got out and worked on my F100, then we had lunch, took the wee one to Gammy's and Pop's to spend the night. The wife and I went to Paducah to play golf and then out to eat. Being in the sunshine does my body good.....don't think it is supposed to even break 50 today......
I bought and still have the first Boston album and have been hooked since was it 76? Been though several 8-tracks and cassettes, Now I have everything via digital format . I would love to see them but was afraid they would not be the same. I would like to see that one in Olive Branch.......like the outdoor venues best.

It's a COLD Monday morning! Sounds like some people took advantage of the wonderful weekend weather. I did some little things around the estate and took a ride with the family unit. It rained on Sunday, so I watched a movie I had been meaning to see "We're The Millers" in between some basketball and golf on the tube. All in all, a pleasant weekend.
Have a great week!

Evening Dutch. Nothing wrong with a deal on tires. I bought a 07 F250 crew cab King Ranch 4x4 last week. It has a good set of Michelin 18 inch tires & rims. I have the whole body except the grill no dents anywhere If the tranny was in it, I would put my motor in it. I paid $600 for it. I will have a complete front axle , suspension & transfer case for sale once I get it to my farm. You got your garden started?
