Time to decide

Hello to all,

My job has changed from a home each day to gone most of the time.
So it's time for me to decide if I am going to have time to restore my 53 F-100 or sell it.
I have removed the cab, bed, fenders, hood and all mounts, so the frame is bare.
I have the original engine, but no trans or radiator. The steering box is shot and needs to be replaced.
The rear cab corners need to be repaired as they have rusted thru.
It has the rear axle, and a solid front axle.
The foot pedals, throttle, brake and clutch are the originals and available.
The body is in pretty good shape, no rot, except for the cab corners
If anyone is interested please P.M. me.
I can post pictures or e-mail them.

Thanks, Al

If it were me, I would think about putting it into storage so I could work on it later but I guess it would just depend on if I really needed to sell it for the funds or whatever the situation may be.

Tough change to take. You know that project trucks in pieces don't garner much of a sell price. Hold on to it if you can.

I guess depends on what your priorities are within our little 'hobby':

If you actually enjoy just working on your truck, then keep it and have fun working on it when you can.

If you only just want to Drive it, maybe not.

Full Disclosure: I came to this hobby from the opposite angle - at first when I got my '54 I just wanted an old truck as my daily driver. (i wanted either a mid 50's ford or a late 50's chevy) If 'Betty' was not running for any reason it was just an aggravating pile of metal in my garage.

Over time that changed for me, and as I got better at working on it, and learned a few things (Thanks FTE!) that process became important too, not only just to get to the end result. Now, I thoroughly enjoy just working on an old truck, even if the 'running' date is far, far over the visible horizon...

Good Luck, Have Fun,
Jerry
