Does it have a pcv valve and is that valve hooked to a vacuum source and working properly?

1. The white creamy stuff is a result of cold starts and short trips especially in the cooler seasons and it could be plugging/gumming the PCV valve. 2. A compression check is in order.

Welcome to the forum, rustoleum82!

Since we do not know at what level you are regarding working on your truck, what Harte3 suggested is basic and can be done by any mechanically inclined person with a compression gauge. The test will provide more insight as to the health of your engine.

Use the search feature at the top of the page and type in COMPRESSION TESTING and sit back and enjoy the reading!
