but add the ecodiesel and don't it jump 8 k over same truck with a gas motor. so for 8 k more ill drive a f250 with a power stroke and get more payload and towing.

My 2012 has 23000 miles on it, I like the looks of the new truck, but at this point I will just put miles on my current truck. with regards to the flare side bed, I will have to find me one of those! if it had been available for 2012 I would have ordered it!

I have a 13. it has 70k. I bought it in march. Im keeping it. I will keep it even if I buy another truck. (Because it has the 6.2, and I like the way it handles trailers)

ok my boss just went and got a 2015 plat 4x4 crew cab with the little 2.7 twin turbo in it and drove it all this week. Friday he said some one is getting his 2011 5.0 next week as there new truck. so I must say coming from a man who dose not change his truck out till its dead and ready for the junk heap, the newer trucks must be special! and every one I have talked to that has one just love them. I just might change my vote and go get one latter this year or next year who knows

Well for me, I really liked and wanted a '15 truck. That is until 2 things happened. The 1st was I bought my 2011 F150. And the second was when I learned that these trucks have an electronic parking brake. That just ruined it for me. I have dealt with them on various other cars and SUV's over the last couple of years and just don't like them for a couple of reasons. First they are vary prone to failure. And second you lose your emergency brake with them now being electronic. I know it's rare that you actually need a true emergency brake, but it's nice knowing that I have if I ever do need one. And NOT just a parking brake.

Are you sure about that?

I'm close enough to payoff that I can smell it and I only have 51K on the truck. The next steed in my barn yard to be replaced will be the Expedition and most likely with a Ford Edge or Outback.

I wish I could get a sneak peak at the next gen trucks. These are sweet but I'm still a little underwhelmed.

Tom the problem with the electric parking brake is that the force applied is full on. Not what you want in an emergency situation. Like when a you break a brake line and lose your brakes. I know that since the late 60's I think all vehicles have a dual valve master cylinder which minimizes the odds of that happening. But it can and does still happen. At least when the fluid level gets depleted from the broken line. So back to my point with the parking brake is that in the event you lose your hydraulic brakes, you press the button for the electric brake and what'll happen is the rear wheels will be prone to lock up. Not what you want. That can send you into jack knife situation. Where as with a traditional hand brake/foot and hand release brake you can (if you stay calm and NOT panic) control the amount of force applied. Thus allowing you to maintain control and slowly bring the vehicle to stop.

Before buying my 2014 E.B. Limited I test drove a 2015 Platinum. Haven't got my head rapped around the looks of the '15 yet but I sure did like the interior and features.

Have you tried it on one of the newer trucks? The section in the owner's manual sort of implies that it was designed for use in an emergency, so you'd think the programming would prevent that from happening.

Can someone try this out? I won't have a new truck for another year or so and my curiosity is killing me.

Tom, to answer your question. No I haven't tried it out on the new truck. But that is what I have come across on various other vehicle in our body shop that did have them. It would be cool if I was proven wrong as far as the new F 150 is concerned.

I loved my time behind the wheel of a '15 5.0/3.73 2015 XL 4x4. Very solid trucks from the brief time i've had with them. I would not pick one over my 2011 though as my 6.2 is just perfect for me.
