I borrowed a friends real boost gauge last summer, well actually I think it was 2 summers ago, and I could push 24-ish psi on that gauge. The needle was fluttery so I can't give you an exact # on that one.

As for backpressure, I have nothing to compare to so maybe its way off. It is set to read absolute pressure so I subtracted the barometric pressure to get my number.

My dongle should be in today. I'm probably going to try it out on the 6.0l first though. That thing is giving me fits...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that these don't work on the 94.5/95. If that's true, is there one that does?

I guess I can't answer that one. I don't know if it would work for you or not. I know I've heard that the 94.5 trucks had a different program in the PCM than the ones in 96-97 and that some guys have had to have their PCMs re-flashed to '97 specs to get some of these things to work, but I don't know 100% if that's the case with Torque or not. I guess you could just make the $20 gamble and find out...

NONE of the trucks are OBD-I. '94.5 and some early '95 trucks use only the old EEC-IV connector, but they can be re-flashed to use the OBD-II connector.

I got mine all hooked up and sat in my driveway playing with it last night for about 30 minutes. My neighbors love me .

Coming up the hill into Weed today I got the boost up to 19 psi. Leaving town on the flat I got it to 17 psi but both times I was jamming on it in 4th gear.

I'm pretty impressed though. Im looking into tablets now. My phone just doesnt quite cut it.

What do you suppose would be the ideal size for the monitor screen? 5"-6"-7"?

I personally feel that a 7" would be about the right size. It would be big enough to be useful and small enough that you wouldn't be hard pressed to find a place to mount it. I LOVE how big the display is on my 10" but it's a little hard to find a place to mount it in the truck.

I don't think so but I guess it kinda depends where you plan to locate it. If you plan to put it beside the A pillar, 7" might be a little on the big side, but if you put it to the right of the steering wheel, even the 10" isn't really in my useful field of vision. I was hoping I had a picture that showed better what it looked like from the driver seat, but this is about the best I can do.

I'd agree probably 7". My phone is 4.8" so I dont think a 5/6" screen would be a big enough difference. When using "large gauges" my phone is adequate, but so far I like the small gauges so I can fit 6 to a page, and those are pretty hard to see.

Side note: I got my dad a dongle too. Ordered from the link Nate posted, just made the quantity 2. Set his up last night and the obd plug on his is upside down, so the dongles display faces down. I told him it's because mine is better.
