Aftermarket tow mirrors
#62
this is the factory wiring on my 04, everything from heat, turn signal is pre-wired. I just plugged in the new mirrors and everything is working, AND the best part when i move the mirror switch left the mirrors go left and etc! Today we have freezin rain and everything was iced up but my drive to work is under four miles so i cant tell if the heated mirror is working yet....... im checking my manual to find the relay location and make sure i have it installed

ok fuse #9 is the heated mirror located under the steering wheel. Good thing mine is installed and i have power on both sides so it should melt the ice etc...... there is no relay just the fuse and i called the local dealer and double checked and the guy said yes theres only a fuse for the heated mirror. I took pictures with my phone nest to my head sitting at normal position to show the difference

taking a picture with a camera isnt like actually sitting in the truck and looking at the new mirrors but you can clearly see how much larger the viewing are is with the 08-up's. For anyone that has the tiny Honda civic mirrors or who's wanting to upgrade their non heated, turn, etc tow mirror, these A1 mirrors are the ultimate upgrade

My only question is this:
Do these A1 mirrors get blurry as a result of engine (diesel), road or wind vibration?
In the past, I've read that many of the 3rd party aftermarket mirrors for the SuperDuty trucks suffer from this symptom and a number of buyers that regretted the purchase and said if they did it again, they would get the Ford factory mirrors, which don't have this issue.
Just curious...

blurry? From truck and road vibrations??? a page or two back i typed that the A1 mirrors DO NOT SHAKE LIKE THE OEM TOW MIRRORS. Ive had them installed for three days now, i drove 45minutes one way last night to go pick up a motor and trans for my 77 F150 and the A1 mirrors never shook jiggled or anything
