I have a big softner and our water is not "that" bad.

I also have a very small room where the mechanical crap is in my house, so that extra space savings would be really nice

My understanding of the problem is with well water you get buildup internal to the unit, no idea how to clean them.

The only thing that should build up would be the scale from the harder water, filtering it before it gets to the tankless system would help, even if that is after the softener system.

Not saying it would be an easy thing, there would be maintenance. But not so much that it would deter from installing it. Just going to depend on the water itself, lots of different crap in well water. Best thing to do is get it tested, and see what might be needed.

I have wall water, but we really don't have a lot of iron in ours. The neighbors down the road do.

Dang, was just pricing doing floor heat (using pex tubing) in the barn. By the time I get that in, manifolds, and pump and boiler I would have a small fortune into it. I guess I will stick with the hanging furnace option and use propane for heat......

Any interest in a 7,000lbs hoist for your garage Rich?
We're replacing a few here at Benz, I'm going to try my best to get my hands on one or two. Not sure they're going to let us have them though....

That would be too small to lift a super duty. Would be perfect for everything else though.

What kind of money are you talking?

That's why I'm not too worried personally about taking one home. Have a 10k already.
Money wise, no idea yet. Probably free IF they let us have them, just want to come up with a good reason to get one. (Beer is a good reason....right?)

That sucks.
Call Napa. It's like a 2 beer job Mike, you'll have the starter out before they get there.

Free is pretty hard to pass up on....LOL g

technically the truck only weighs 6600#.....so I "could" lift it if I had to.....would be handy for lifting the cab off.

and if I raised it enough and removed the wheels and tires I could lift it for other things.....
