1997 F-250 7.3 fuel in oil STRANDED AND DOWN-SQUEELING- NO POWER

I will try to explain best I can. My good buddy from home is in North Dakota on the oil rigs and is stranded, but is ok with where its at, near his home. He got it there in hopes to fix it, but do to the weather its near impossible to trouble shoot. He drove it 1400 miles after a fresh "so called" build, with exhaust, built TC and rebuilt trans prior. He had new fluid, filters and so forth. Well, after 1400 he ran out of fuel in one of his tanks and switched over to #2. When he did so, he got a horrible sound and the rpms went up up up and then down and it died on him. I guess after a purge and few cycles, he was able to get the air and trash out somehow and motored on to boom town. He had a tuner and custom tunes installed before he left GA, with an intercooler also. I wasn't aware of any safe or tested tunes for SCT 5015, for a 7.3 - I apparently was wrong and the guru we all know, wrote him 3 files. He said it ran and drove great for 2000 miles and when he got to town it just lost power and started acting stupid. He had a squeeling sound, like a stuck pig, like a belt or pulley. He was able to replace and inspect, with no issues. He knows he has some blow-by at his turbo, but still runs and performs fine. He has no other leaks and doesent know what the sound is !!! He has perfect coolant levels, but noticed his smoke was black when powering through the gears, but now it is white like he had an EGR or cooler failure, but no EGR on 7.3. There is fuel in the oil and dosent notice any head gasket issues or oil on the underside of hood. Or any around the motor. Seems like a internal issue of some kind or a tune that has failed from a PCM ECM communication or module. Sensors ???? Or is the fuel in oil the major sign of the problem ? Its -20 to 20 degrees and he keeps it plugged in and will check codes tomorrow and see what the tuner scan shows. He drained the fluid again and refilled, while not noticing any causes.... PLEASE HELP ! He can put it on a flat bed and train back to GA, if someone can give us an idea of the problem for sure, and I will get it built for him so when he comes back he has his rig set back up and I can take his 37s off and put on my 6.4 If someone knows please message me or reply. Im not a 7.3 guy and don't want to steer him wrong !! Thank you very much - E
