My main plan was a 355/th350/8.8 or 9"

Back in my younger years when I had an '86 Old Cutlass, it had a 307 4 bbl carb in it and I was toying with the idea of dropping a motor from and IROC Z or an LS motor into it. Now that would have been one heck of a sleeper.

so a 0.030" over SB 350.... that would not be a bad setup either. I had a '84 Monte Carlo that I dropped a SB 406 in it with a TH350.... that thing was a beast.

Oh yeah.... I like LS motors haha... I have a 5.3 in my grandparents garage that I want to drop into my Impala

That would be a Vortec headed 355 with a air gap intake and a 650 cfm carb, 2500 stall, 275-60-15 rear tires

BINGO!! this was in 1987. I got the car about 6 months after getting out of high school and had it for a few years before I had my one accident and totaled it.

They make a 302 swap kit for these trucks, I'm not sure about a SBC kit... I could always make some mounts just didn't want to lol
