Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I've been on staycation this week and actually had some time to cook.

So,

I baked from scratch yeast rolls, cheese cake, pumpkin, pecan, apple, cherry and chocolate pies.

Additionally, I'm cooking a tom turkey, spiral cut ham, mashed taters, yams, peas & carrots, corn, gravy, cranberry sauce and a host of apps.

I trust everyone is as blessed as I have been this year. I'm expecting a crowd of 10 people, family, neighbors and a couple of old shipmates.

Happy thanksgiving Tim. Sounds like a excellent meal!

We will do a thanksgiving breakfast at 9am followed by dinner at 4 pm.

Turkey, corn on the cobb, mashed potatoes/gravy, jellied cranberries, rolls, stuffing and pies/cool wipp.

I think somewhere around 10 or so. Depends on the girls/boyfriends.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!

I'm supposed to deep fry the turkey (as usual) but, I'm coming down with something, and it's gonna be ccccoooooooold here, tomorrow.

My beloved wife has said that she wants the turkey done in the oven this year, so, I'm off the hook.

We're supposed to have a house full, but, plans have changed.
It'll just be my wife, my youngest son, my Mom... and me, for dinner.

Everyone is coming over for dessert, though.

Still, it is a day for giving Thanks, and I have a lot to be thankful for.

Please keep our men and women in the Armed Forces in your thoughts and prayers, and tell all that you may see, "Thank You for your service!!!!!"

Let's eat!!!

Thanks for the thought Tim!

I'll be bringing dinner to my dad tomorrow.
I LOVE to cook, so it is nice to have an excuse to get creative.

I baked a couple of pies today and did most of my prep.
Really looking forward to Thanksgiving.

I swear guys, if my local friends had half the character of my FTE brothers and sisters, I'd truly be surrounded by greatness.

If I had the time and the money, I'd cook for hundreds. Thanksgiving is that important to me.

I'll be helping out at the local Salvation Army serving a hearty turkey dinner to those less fortunate souls. Then off to my nieces house to celebrate with about 15 family members. I'll be bringing the 2 pies I made yesterday...home made fudge I made this evening...and...some ice cold Sammy's for everyone of age to enjoy!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

My local classic rock station 106.9 The Fox plays this every year at noon. I always to to the garage and disappear for about 25 minutes at noon on turkey day so I can hear it.

My family members made it in last night around 113o all safe and sound. I'm milling about working on cup #2 and visiting FTE when I should be peeling potatoes.

Well, it's Friday!!!!

There's a market near here that also has a deli counter, and they make some GREAT sandwiches and subs.

One local specialty is known as "The Gobbler"!

Fresh italian bread. Turkey breast. Warm stuffing. Warm mashed potatos. Cranberry sauce/cranberries. Add lettuce IF you desire.

Slice the turkey thin and then assemble your "sammich".

Heaven on bread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I'm heading to the kitchen to make my own version!!!!!!!!!

4 days later and I'm in need of serious detox. I'm powerless when it comes to sweet potato casserole and chess pie. Maybe it's time for intervention. I can't keep doing this....
