Well after seeing what you guys have done, mine look embarrassingly old school and fairly lame, although at the time I thought it was convenient to have a curb light, a 45 degree rear light, and a rotatable work light, that would swing back when driving...
And swing inward when hitching...
And be switchable from the rear of the truck, with marine sealed on-off-on switches for each pair...
I'd like to do a complete redo, with fewer fixtures, a lower profile, less power, and more actual light output.

Hard decision, amber or white chicken lights under the doors. I've seen both colors on red super dutys and I love them both. I am doing maxxima 3/4 led lights.
I seen amber looks better with chrome and white is a good show truck color.
What would you guys suggest

I think Johnny Law says that white light have to forward facing ONLY and side lights ahead of the rear wheels need to be amber.

I too was concerned about getting in trouble with my six white reverse/utility lights, dim as they are. So dim, in fact, an argument could be made for calling them amber on a colorimeter.
When I wired them, I did not include a way to switch them on in cab. The only way they can be turned on is if in reverse, or if manually switched on when at the rear of the vehicle (such as when hitching a trailer at night).
Haven't gotten stopped for them yet, but I do worry about it, even though I'm prepared to show the LEO how I cannot operate them from in cab. They are also wired with Weatherpack disconnects, so they can easily be unplugged. They are no different than the utility lights under the rear bumpers of tow trucks. In fact, that is exactly what they are.
I've also noticed all the uncovered LED light bars running around. I'm not opposed to them by any means, and feel that citations should only be justified from misuse of the lights, not the mere presence of the fixtures.

Curious what you guys think of the Cree LED's that Rough Country is selling ??
Price doesn't look too bad I didn't think..
Was leaning towards a 30 inch bar on a bumper mount kinda like the one in the vid.....At some point would like a roof mount setup but my god those big bars are pricey..

'08 - 250 - 1 - 31" Eyourlife combo spot/flood --- 1 - 23" Eyourlife combo spot/flood ---- both running lights replaced w/ LED's - and Sylvania headlights --- LED bars go through separate upfitters. Mounted on TopGun brushguard using 2" conduit straps - sand-blasted and painted black --- all invested: maybe $100 (not including TopGun).... When it fails - I'll go buy another one.... I can do that eight or nine times before getting to Rigid price for one set.... Oh - and the Eyourlife's have 2 year warranty through Amazon. --- I got sucked into going 'high end' PIAA's at first. Yeah - after having to re-solder the bulbs myself a few times, they were relegated to my lawnmower and my ATV.
