Since it's been awhile since I posted, I figured I would post a few pics of what I have done over the last year. Not a whole lot, I only get to wrench on it a couple weekends a month.

Cleaned and PORed the frame, both front and rear ends are done all new seals, bushings, brakes, Etc...

Since the motor ran good I just replaced seals and gaskets and gave it some fresh paint

And got the motor back in the truck, still need to do some work on the fuel pump and oil filter before I start it up, really hope I got the rear main seal in right

I got it started, started up first try and runs great. Had a few oil leaks but fixed em all, Carburetor float needed adjustment, fixed that. My fuel pump is leaking from a weep hole on the bottom, I am assuming that is caused by a bad diaphragm. Are these re-buildable, none of the correct looking replacements pumps I have seen have the glass bowl on top, they are either domed toped or the glass bowl is off to the side (if that makes sense)

I am now moving onto the body work, I read a post about a member making the rear cab corners but could not find it in the classified section. Anyone know if these are still being made and/or available?

How come you changed out the exhaust manifold to the later style? Was the original cracked?

Your engine rebuild reminds me of mine.

In 1960 when my parents remodeled and updated our house (which included indoor plumbing and central heat) my mom got rid of her old cook stove and got an electric range. She missed her old stove so much, that she got another combination (gas/wood or coal) stove and used it until they sold the farm and moved into a smaller ranch style home in 1988. But she did have an old stove set up in the garage.

Yes I had a good sized crack that I/we could not weld up. I got the manifold from Big M, you must have forgot, you hooked me up with the info via PM, thanks again for the help. and ditto on your beautiful motor.

Edit: looking a little closer at your motor pics, looks like someone cut my crankcase breather. And is your fuel pump rebuilt (if so, where did you find the parts), NOS ($$$ don't think I will go that route), or did you find a repo somewhere?

It's coming back to me now. I remember you asking me.

Yes, I noticed that the crankcase breather tube was cut as well. I may have a good one but will need to check. I know I have one that has a few inches from the bottom cut off but not as drastic as yours. Let me know if you'd be interested.

I don't remember now, but I think the fuel pump I bought NOS from Green Sales. Majority of the rebuild parts, water pump, etc were purchased NOS when I was rebuilding my engine. However, the fuel pumps are not hard to rebuild as long as the diaphragm is still good.
