No Crank at start, engine temp light on.
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum but more importantly new to this Truck (1983 F-250 6.9L manual).
Long story, but I made the mistake of leaving my keys in the ignition in the on position for a few hours (left them in there after turning it on to bring the power windows back up).
When I returned to the truck hours later, battery was a little low but even with a boost it would not crank.
I thought maybe I fried my glow plugs, but replacing them did nothing.
I was able to roll start it to get it back home, but here are my questions:
Would leaving my ignition on for several hours ruin my temp sensor for the glow plugs? Or could it ruin my starter?
I did some research on a few forums and people that have had the temp light come and no start, still mention the starter cranks, mine does not, my truck goes quiet when I try and start it.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
