New Garage/Shop

Started putting the hangers up for the third row of lights Monday. I needed to have floor space to back Darth and the van in if the weather prediction held (it didn't) so I quit in time to do that. The Taurus ground clearance isn't conducive to driving in any amount of snow. These are the three brackets I made, there are pieces to make three more. The setup puts the lower side of the reflector 8' up and perpendicular to the floor (Gary, maybe you can amend your light pattern drawing with this information). Sorry forgot to check rotation on the second picture.

Bill - I will amend it, but it may be a couple of days before I can. Off the top of my head I think you will have stronger light as I think I'd planned for them to be higher and the amount of light goes down by the square of the distance. But, the reflector will cut off the light going to the other side of the shop so you won't get as much fill and the shadows will be stronger. But I'm just going on 67 year old memory, and you know how that is - assuming you can remember when you were 67.
By the way, could you help us on Lariat_85's thread here? You know far more about plugs and carbs than the rest of us put together.

Gary, these lights are to fill in the right hand bay, where the right side of a vehicle would be. 8' to the bottom of the reflector puts the lower tube about 8'6" up and with that side vertical my intent is to have plenty of light down to the floor and still have them low enough to illuminate under an open bonnet (Brit speak).
I did go look at Lariat85's thread and comment on it.

Finally got a slightly warmer day to go and get 8 8' tubes down from my storage floor and install them. Saturday I went by the local Re-Store as I had noticed a bunch of electrical boxes and a decent 4 4' tube ceiling fixture I wanted to stick in the office before I start putting plywood on the inside walls.
