I'm a little late since it has already been said but I'll chime in anyway.

I would just paint the surround to match. I prefer the stock look with a custom touch. It's unique enough the average person may not notice but one of us would really appreciate the mod.

I say go for the 2-2.5" pocket flares painted to match.

You have a great looking truck. It's really easy to go overboard with mods and end up looking tacky.

I have to say I go against what everybody is saying on painting the surround of your current grille to match. I prefer the chrome in it since it matches the bumper and all. I would add pocket flares and painted to match mirror caps and call it good to tell you the truth and save the rest of the money for power upgrades and upgrades on your 95.

Thanks again for all your compliments guys. I think I'm gonna leave it as is like many have suggested. If anything I may add a grey and black Ford oval from billet badges. I want are your opinions on painting the bull bar black and leaving the skid plate chrome? Also what about painting the middle of the 08 mirrors grey as well? I think I'm gonna remove my FX4 decals as well becasue the grey in the X is starting to wear off every time i wash it and get all over my paint so i think its time for them to go...i love them though

I would keep the bull bar the same you need a little chrome in my opinion personally I hate all blacked out or all chromed out just needs a bit of both in the right spots. Also on the mirrors I think it might look funny unless you painted the whole mirror grey but personally the gray mirror caps are fine.

I think the gray and black Ford oval emblem would look good.

It's hard to say about changing anything else because why change something that looks awesome to something that might not look good?

It's your truck, not mine, so do what YOU want. You have a good taste so far so I don't think you will go too crazy on everything else.

put me in the less chrome camp.

when I can afford it, I'm putting black steel rims on my SD and I've already said I want to plasti-dip the bumper. just me, of course.

I didn't vote - my option would be a satin black on the surround and call it good.
your truck is SWEET in my eyes as it sits.

if I came across some black / charcoal gray rims (when I could afford them) they'd be on mine in a heartbeat.
