More inconsequential odds and ends today and hinge pins and door latch anti-rattle bushings. I'm making progress though and that is what counts. The doors all close nice and tight and easy now, which makes a big difference, IMO. It is coming together, slowly but surely.
I spent more time today getting my stuff out of the old truck than I did working on the new one. Got it more or less for its new home, whenever that time comes.
On a side note, does anybody have a pair of side steps like are on here that they want to let go of? I want to build a set of step bars for it eventually, but in the mean time, these are kind of nice for the kids to use climbing in and out.
Doors closing properly is priceless.we did josh's and mine.it just makes me smile everytime i get in.i just wish passengers wouldnt slam them..they shup SO easy and smooth.its stupid. keep up the good work!!!
LOL! I don't like them at all. That's why I took them off! I can't stand the fact that they had to drill holes in the rocker panels to put them on!
Man Bill, I am right there with you!
Nate, looking good! Question, what are those two **** looking things to the right of the message center? Also, um, do you like those bigger tow mirrors? If not, lemme know and I would be down to swap with you!
I think you got a a really good deal with the new truck! Stoked for you!

All of my doors are great except the driver's door. It sucks! Are the hinges the culprit? It shuts really tight, but you have to almost slam it!
Open it half way and grab the end and lift. look for slop in the hinge pins/bushings.
its a cheap and not real hard job...but very rewarding when done.
As soon as you push the button to open it, does it start to sag?
I believe it does. I almost thought it had been wrecked and then not fixed right!

I'll check first thing in the morning and then fix appropriately. Thanks! Can I get the pins anywhere?
