Running rich

Running rich
I have a 2002 E350 with 5.4L motor, it has 170,000 miles on it. New coil packs and plugs. It seems to be running extremely rich. When I am sitting at idle you can't hardly stand around the van cause it smells so rich. I have no check engine light on and no codes. Any ideas what to look for?

If this condition is as bad as you describe its nearly impossible to not have a CEL.
If you've already scanned for codes are there any pending? Does your scanner indicate whether the MIL is activated? Most likely you have a horrendous vacuum leak that's affecting fuel delivery.
If there is that much raw fuel in the exhaust don't run the van too long like that---you're likely to foul the plugs and perhaps cause a lot of gasoline blow by to enter the oil system. You could also be damaging the catalytic converters and/or the O2 sensors.
