Nice. I seem to have a one of a kind 60 under mine that was stock lol. Good axles though, can take a lot of abuse.

It does look good but personally that donor truck at least to me was way too nice to be used. I would have left it alone and maybe taken it out every so often so it stayed nice and found something else for 'ol blue.

around here something that clean would have the 2wd torn out and throw a 4x4 in it. Most vehicles around here go through a 4x4 conversion if they are 2wd.

That would be about the only thing I'd do to it besides an exhaust system and minor engine bolt ons.

Rebuild looks great so far. Are you going to keep the lower side trim from the grey body? I would have to leave it, makes it look more like the Bigfoot truck of that era.

I know, and to be brutally honest with the shape my current one is in I might have done the same thing seeing as I have donor truck fenders. I'm already on my second set of front fenders (factory OEM replacement years ago that we bought from Ford) so I can understand. But still though, that truck was like brand new and as much as it needed to be done, something that fresh I'd never personally be able to justify it and would have either kept it as is or only modded it slightly.

Regardless, I am impressed with the work so far so keep on tossing me the pictures

Thanks man, while the truck stays grey the trim is staying but when it gets painted blue i beleive we are gonna remove it and close the holes

this afternoon i got the rear axle under the frame and also took the vinyl floor out of the grey truck to sneak a look and i was impressed, and tonight we got the front all in and finished, just snugged everything up until it gets some weight on it

Do they make headers for these trucks? I never could find any that would fit. I still have clearance issues with the car/truck manifold I have on my '85. The angle on it makes the pipe hit the front driveshaft since its at a wonky angle.

Just wondering if you were planning on installing them. I think over the frame headers would have rubbing issues with 33s.

As usual, nice work! What are your uncle's plans for this once it's finished?
