that will give you the proper frame width to mate that cab and nose to, and it will also be setup for the dually rear.
Seems I said someting about a F250/F350 frame earlier for this exact reason.
yes you did Karl, but a 250 frame would be the wider 36 inches.
that is why i recommend a cab chassis frame. it will be the narrow 33 inches like the 40 trucks was.
if you read what i posted, you would have seen i said pre 78 trucks had the narrow 33 inch frames.
so you point of the 66-77 F250 having the narrow frame was just repeating what i said.
I actually have plenty of room for it to fit on a wide range of 1 ton chassis. I measured it today. It will be 4WD. I don't think that really matters for frame width.
Went to measure some frames at the junk yard over here and it looks like an older Dodge 3/4 Ton D or W series would work for the frame width all through the cab and fenders. F-250 and 350's as well but it doesn't get a narrow in the front.

you need to look at pickups 77 or older for the narrow frame
Okay since this thread turned into a frame thread let us get back to the main topic I intended. What do I need to know and look for when lifting the suspension?
