This was actually advertised quite a bit I remember looking into it a few years back. Interestingly enough can't find any info on his website or prices for this.

I'm looking at the pictures in the write up and especially at picture # 25. That's a dumb way to center the front end in the chassis. If the fenders and the rest of the sheet metal is slightly off square he'll end up with a dog tracking truck that will never drive right.

Well, you know what Billy Crystal used to say; "You look marvelous. It's better to look good, than to feel good."

You only need to read a page or two to see what a complete and total a$$wipe the guy is.
Or just the first paragraph ...thanks for heads up.I won't be supporting that guy for sure.I can't stand those people,I learned the hard way myself with a butcher and a new wooden basement.Don't pay till it's finished and inspected!Once things are payed for it's real hard to get things fixed or finished with crooked people out there!SOB

Well Ed I guess I better come clean. The motor that is in my truck now I purchased from him. It was a pump motor that the p\o took real good care of. One day I will tell you the whole tale. LOL

I see as with most mistakes (this one mine) there is that silver lining. If my error helped a fellow member not go down the rabbit hole of $$$$ and frustration that can sometimes be found at Bobs, I guess it wasn't all for not.
As for silver linings, I'll think twice before plunking down any of my money on a mag that tries to pass this guy off as an upstanding citizen. It's all about credibility and Classic Trucks just took a hit.

I would have to check but I think it was THEM (boycott started) that ran a tech series on Y-block build up a few years ago that had some good info. I believe I have all the series I need to check if not I'm getting back issues then I'll stop buying them.

I cancelled my subcriptions to Classic Trucks and Classic Custom Trucks when I realized their articles were all paid infomercials. Those IFS are just remarketed Chinese clones.

The Y-block build up had some good info but as AX stated just an infomercial (aren't they all though) and we have to sift out useful info.

It really is worth the extra effort to let them know how ya all feel.
It may not make much if any difference. But if they get lots and lots of
negative input from folks that are unsubscribing They would be plain stupid to not pull his advertizing I would think.

Boycotting only works if they know they are being boycotted and why.
Right.

I didn't see a web address in the mag but here is a list of there ad offices for complaints. I didn't renew last go around a few months ago and am just waiting for my scrip to run out. To be honest my reason for not renewing was not enough F1s, and F 100s, but I will call and complain about Bob's for the reasons I stated earlier. Im going to direct my call to Patricia Ludi the ad operations coordinator at 949 705-3337. I agree with artic y block, and Yamagrant.

With a payroll that large they must be one of many magazines published by a bigger outfit. That gal may not know a Effie from a flip-flop but you are doing the right thing to call & log a complaint.
