Rear Parking Sensors

Rear Parking Sensors
My work truck that I drive, a 2006 F-150 Lariat 4x4 extended cab, rear parking sensors quit working. The button on the dash is lit up all the time like when you shut it off. I posted this on the F-150 section too and was able to find a suggestion that you can listen to each sensor while in reverse and if you don't hear a clicking at the sensor it has failed.
All (4) sensors are clicking away while in reverse so not sure what else to check, no one in the F150 section has any other suggestions either, so that is why I put it here, if you have anything in mind please let me know.
Thanks
Leon

rear sensors
I don't know about the 06 sensors on an F-150 but I have replaced two rear bumper sensors on my 2011 F-250 two different times. The first under warranty and the second time not. I think it cost over $100 to get another sensor replaced the second time. I had the same message that I get when it is blocked by snow.
The tech guy told me the sensors on the Ford are very sensitive to water so if you spray the bumpers with a power washer at one of those car wash places, or go thru lots of rain, the sensor may quit. He said they replace quite a few of them.
