For a diesel... Probably boost and egt. For a gasser... Probably oil pressure and trans temp.

Depends on engine... Can only speak to the 6.0 from my experience of owning 2. If you're running a Ford oil cooler in a 6.0, then you need Engine Coolant and Engine Oil. Also for 6.0, stock airbox and intake are better than anything you can buy as long as you are staying under 500 hp. Most everything else is wasted money with decreased filtering capabilities.

Yes...definitely oil temp on a 6.0. No need for a tranny temp on a 6.0 unless you're towing heavy. The 5R trans manages itself quite well.

This is my setup on my 2000 7.3 Diesel Ex.

gauge setups can get expensive! If you want the look of the gauges then go with them. If your looking for options the ScanGuage II is very popular with the 6.0 guys as it can monitor many different things ins real time. ScanGauge - Trip Computer + Digitial Gauges + ScanTools

280F max is fine. On the 6.0 the ECM will defuel the engine at 253F anyhow.

It's always good to monitor your EGT if you're going to boost above the stock HP rating, in fact I wouldn't do a HP mod without installing a pyrometer first. Without a pyro you're operating completely in the dark. Additionally it gives you the necessary input to know when your turbo is cool enough to shutdown the engine.

With a 6.0 PSD you need an odb2 gage reader (scangauge2 or equiv). It can read Any sensor that the computer monitors.. fuel pressure you will need to add a sensor and gauge, it is important to have good fuel pressure to save your injectors.

Exhaust gas temp you need to add as well.
Most everything else can be read via odb2 port..

Check out the 6.0 or 7.3 forum for lots of info on each.
