New Skins

Well, I broke down & bought new skins for my truck. After getting 52,000 miles out of my last set of Toyos. (Toyo AT), I ended up going with the Toyo again. got the AT II's. These seem a little more aggresive than my last set but, didn't notice any significant tire noise bringin em home.

Even filthy as my truck sits...I think they look great. I actully paid less for this set, than I did the previous set. I believe I could've eeked out another 3-5000 miles out of my old tires but, I had a slow leak in one. I'd have to add air every few days, & some sidewall damage to another. I didn't want to push it. Hope to get the same mileage out of these. The tread seems really deep on em too. I was thinking....ahhh that's what new ones look like...lol. I had forgotten.

Now I have to wash my truck

Thanks man. I thought the same after seeing em installed.

They look quite a bit better than the last set of AT's I had. These seem a look a little more aggressive. I'll be curious to see how they do this winter, on road, & off. I was pretty happy with the last set but, these look like a better tire than the last version I had.

Just got mine replaced. Did a lot of research and could not get any thing better than the Firestone Trans Force At 275-70-18. Just under 1200$ with a front end alignment.
I really researched this. I had the firestone before and one failed with about 15 to 20k still left in them. I looked at all brands and the local tire shops all said they have less trouble with the Firestones than any others. I hope it was just one bad tire it split right down the center of the tread, like something inside let go. I found it changing oil so it was not a blow out.

Just my 2 cents

i like the 50k mileage warranty on the A/T II they look like a nice tire. lots of siping for the winter, ill be waiting for your review when the snow starts to fly. i have the toyo mt now and not sure which direction to go next.

we have been noticing the transforce AT not wearing very well like they use too, kinda like the BFG all terrains.

I hear ya. I used to dig the BFG's when I was younger, I thought they looked awesome. Had multiple sets of MT's, & AT's. In fact I had a set on my last truck several years back. Never came close to the mileage of the Toyos. They would wear out rather quickly imo.

This will be my 3rd set of Toyos. Ive been pretty happy so far. Both sets Ive had went over 50,000 miles. Like I said earlier, I could've pushed em another 3-5000 but, wasn't comfortable doing that, & I have a road trip Im making tomorrow.

Im excited to see how these AT II's perform in the snow as well. They look like they will be an improvement over the last ones. We'll see......
