Question front sump oil pan w/ stock front end

Do I need to be concerned with front or rear sump oil pan with a stock front end?

Note: 302 or 351W into a 1954 f100

Thanks for your insight.

i have a 48 with the stock front end and a 289 and my oil pan does get banged up a bit... i think older broncos have a rear sump pan and some mid 80's mustangs also.... i called around and i was told just to make sure to get the pick up and any windage tray that the donor vehicle had...

im not sure about 51 and up? ?

My '52 has a front sump and after looking at the amount of space there is, I was thinking about making a deep sump pan for it. I beleive a '54 would have more room than a '52 also.
