Might as well resurrect and old thread, Been on fte for 4 or 5 years and just noticed the utah section, Kinda sad. Matt, I'm also from Tooele. Just thought I would do my best to clarify a few things I read when catching up on this tread. The area out by past Saratoga off readwood around mile marker 4 is also known as little moab, Although I did hear it has been fenced and posted, I cant confirm as I havent been out to see for myself. To do a little wheelin weather you wanna get hard core or do a little trail riding, 5 mile is an amazing place. Eagles nest is as hard core as most the stuff your going to find in Moab. As for Butterfeild and middle there is enough wheeling to have fun for an hour or two any trail besides main roads just turn into basically bike or walking trails, witch leads me to the next thing, yes there awesome hiking biking country. both beautiful canyons. Butterfeild being the salt lake valley side and middle the tooele. As for Butterfeild it is now owned by Kennoctt copper mine, so enjoy it while you still can. Could be closed at any point now. Butterfeild is also paved to the pass for anyone who would like to enjoy without having the means to. Middle is paved half way or so but the dirt in between the two sections of pavement is quiet wash boarded, witth good weather a can could travel it as well. they usually don't open the canyons till April or May to let the snow melt and do any repairs needed. also Tooele county thought it would be neat if they started charging to overnight in the canyon witch is a bunch of bs if you ask me. lots of picnic and camping areas on the middle side but dont recommended pulling trailers over butterfeild side. Its paved but narrow, very narrow for a trailer. One car wide towards the top with sharp 180 degree sharp bends if you were to run into another car you would be screwed...
Anyways to the fun part.... couple rigs of mine...

Hiya, mine name is Nicholas I live in taylorsville and I got a 73 ranger. I have plans to beef it up in the future, with a better motor and upgraded drivetrain. I'm toying with the idea of find the axles of an f250 or 350 to put on it, and also get a four wheel drive conversion as well. But as for now I just a got 2wd automatic with a gas guzzling 390 in it.

Welcome to those who have dropped in in the last year or so. The chapter isnt real busy but we could change that. Seems as though local facebook pages are more popular nowadays. Look up Utah Ford Enthusiasts on FB. Im in Kearns and have a Highboy with a 78 body on it and recently bought a 69 F250 Camper Special from a kid up north. Building a 390 for that and current have a 390 in the 4x4.
