I wish someone could get a straight answer as to what fits what and make a sticky out of it... I gotta pull mine apart one day, but have no idea which tool I'll end up needing!

It looks to me like you are not to the retaining nut yet. There are 2 snap rings, one on the axle and one on the inner side of the wheel hub. Remove both of those and the hub will slide right out. I like to thread in one of the screws from the coveer to give me a little handle to pull it out. After you get that out you will see the retaining nut.

You removed your Cap for the hub and WHAT snap ring? The one on the axle stub (small one 1.5")or the one that goes in the very out edge of the hub(Large one(approx 3.5" )
All trucks have the large snap ring.
SOME truck have the small one.
Either way, there can be NO snap ring in there if you want the hub body to come out.
THEN you will need a spindle socket. Manual hubs use a 4 pin style

AUTO hubs use a 2-3/4" socket
