what engine upgrades do u guys think are the best for the 6.4. I already hav a h&s tuner, exhaust and cold air intake. I wanna make this engine as reliable as possible what other upgrades should I do. I was thinking about putting about $5000 Canadian into my truck. any advise would be great

 

The 6.4 vulnerable items are???
Water in the fuel>
Fuel in the oil>
Coolant degradation>
And some EGR cooler issues which might be caused by overheating/low coolant>
Many ways to offset these, maintenance and spot checks work good too.
I'm sure there are more, somebody else will chim in I'm sure.

 

Upgraded Headstuds
EGR Delete w/upgraded intake elbow
Upgraded intercooler
Upgraded Cold side intercooler tube
Add transmission cooler
Coolant Filter
Upgraded Radiator (Wait until yours springs a leak)

What do you do with your truck?

 

Head studs are an issue with the 6.4L like the 6,0L unless you are making insane horseys.

 

don't think I would bother with a tranny cooler. there should already be one. I have one.

 

Air Dog II would definitely be something I'd consider.
