To be honest I have no idea how it will turn out. I can't make a call either way. I think the hawks are a little tougher than the Pens were. I think Crawford will have to play a big part. It's tough to call cause there were no east/west games this year.
Here was my post when Ken/Wade asked me about it on the MASS board
Trying to be objective.... I have a couple thoughts.
If the Bruins play rough like the Red Wings did.... it will be an uphill battle for the Hawks and GREATly dimminish their chances of winning.
The Bruins on the other hand had better build a brick wall around the net, as talented as the Pens were "supposed" to be... I think the Hawks have more firepower than anyone in the NHL. The top 3 Goalies are in the West: Howard, Quick and Crawford... and we have beaten 2 of them
The Bruins need to keep it a low scoring game..... they haven't faced the quality of goalies like the West has... but if they can keep it a 1-0, 2-1 games... I think they have a GREAT chance to win. I just think if it is 3+ goals a game, it GREATly benefits the Hawks....
Pretty much agree I don't know about more firepower than the Pens though. I think that series would have had the exactly opposite outcome if Crosby and Malkin showed up. The Hawks do have some goal scorers though. They weren't tops in the league without some power.
