New PCM issues

So my ecm/pcm went bad and I had my mechanic put a new(reman) one in and reflash it. Now it shifts really hard and my mileage has gone from 16.5 to 13.3mpg. He reflashed it again to make sure it took correctly, but it is still doing the hard shift, plus it is a rather erratic shift pattern. Anyone with any insight or expertise on what could be the issue?I am going to take it back in to him but I have to leave it for a day, which is time I don't have. Before you flame the mechanic, know that he is rather skilled with diesels and has done me right in the past. I am just doing my homework.

Unfortunately he is only as good as his flasher.if the trans shifts badly also...tune i would think is your issue.you could also send it to (for instance) dp for a flash.it will take longer because of shipping but it would rule it out as the prob or not.

Get rid of the super chip and get a TS chip. It will override what's on the PCM and then you can fine tune it from there.

SCMT 1705 in his signature. I used to use one seven, eight years ago.

I just reinstalled the sc to try it out. It definitely runs better but still shifts very hard. If I could afford it, I would get a chip but its not going to happen right now. I just think it should run like it did before even in stock mode.
