VIN decode
I know there is somewhere a list on how to decode the VIN... but I can't remember where.
So... can someone please remind me, or possibly decode my VIN for me? Thanks!
It's a 1977 Crew Cab 4x4 F250 (hopefully, that's what the VIN comes back as too
F26HCY30566
Thanks again.

351M and not the 400, eh? The tag on the engine valve cover says it's a 400, so it must have been swapped at some point. The previous owner said it was rebuilt 20k ago, so maybe it was changed then too.

Not uncommon to have engine swapped. You wouldn't believe how many 360 engines were swapped out for 390 engines in the earlier highboys.

Hickory is right. Thats was very common to see a 351M swapped for a 400. You can get a LMC magazine and it is all printed in the front.
