I'm trying to find adjustable suspension parts for my 55. What do you think the front end with a V8 would weigh? The QA1 coilovers are rated by frontend weight.

A guess would be 1250 per front tire and 800 per back tire for a total of maybe 4100 lb.
The only way you are going to determine the weight of your truck is to weigh it or get it weighed.

 

Ditto, my 54 weights 2500 front and 1200 rear with me in it, no bed and stock gas tank on the drivers side running board. I have a SBC350 and 700R4, Cordoba IFS. The IFS is about 1 inch forward of centered in the wheel well and the engine is within a 1/2 of being as far rearward as possible.

 

Thanks so much guys. I would have never guessed it would weigh that much. The guys at Speed Tech told a friend of mine what part number I would need and it was for a 2300 lb front end. I am running the same engine and trans as you Dan, but I have a Nova front clip.
