Harrisonburg, VA car show 4/13/13

Went to a car show today and got a few pics. Just thought I'd share... More cars than trucks, and only a few Fords. But some were really nice. I especially like the '66 longbed and the '53 Flatty V8.

What a small world! I was in Harrisonburg last week, my son got his degree from James Madison. What took you there? "Cruisetopdown" isn't too far from there (compared to LA).

Great looking trucks, that's a nice little town.

Visiting my daughter and son-in-law. His mom is a professor at James Madison Univ. Maybe taught your son?

I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that some FTE'ers were there today. I had a nice conversation about flathead V8s with the guy who owns that '53. He showed me a pic of his garage with four of them (V8s) rebuilt and on stands.

First time my son has been there, he did an on-line Master's program in Computer Science.

Beautiful trucks!
So on this one, where is the engine? Man you can hide a body in there and still drive around.

There was an engine in there. I think it was a SBC. I remember I loved the truck except for the engine and the running boards. I'm not a fan of wood bolted on to the running boards. It looks ok, I guess, but I just don't like it. JMHO.

Great pics! That flathead is very nice. BTW, I passed through Harrisonburg about 3 weeks ago. Small world indeed.

My daughter (and my money) is a student at James Madison, she loves it down there. I have never been to any shows in Harrisonburg, but I know there are a lot of car/truck enthusiasts as I have had several CL deals in the area.
