Most local auto parts stores have a set up to add a 7 pin trailer connector. The hardest part is adding the controller and running the brake wire to the back of the truck.

i would say the the 150 could handle it but try it out hook up the trailer (horses optional) and see what it feels like for a short trip then go from there. also what kind of terrain are you towing, flat or hilly and what speed are you planning on driving? like i said before i think it would be okay doing it just know that it may not be 100 percent legal and make sure the rig has durn good brakes vehicle and trailer as these year f150s dont have the strongest brakes ever, they are pretty good though

Another thing I just thought of: A live load is much harder to tow than a dead load. The horses can and will move as much as the stock trailer allows them to. That means you have an ever changing load behind you and the trailer will tend to move about. Kind of like a small boat when people move from side to side, except doing 70 MPH on the freeway.
