I figured it would be right in that area-but no sensor there far as I can tell. at this point its a secondary issue, since ive found that the PCM power circuit and all the compenents within it, are not causing the failure I'm seeing. Definitely will keep this in my mind while im in there though.

Bill, I've got a dead short on the red/yellow wire going to the ods , fuse 17 removed, fuse U removed, all components disconnected. Are there any other components not listed in my super sweet haynes manual?

Never mind..found a little white box under the dash, assuming its the chime module, but is it supposed to be grounded with key off?

Meant to say OCS , over drive cancel switch. I removed all the fuses for that circuit, had a dead short til I got the little white box I assumed was the chime module. Still don't know for sure. Short went away when pulled that last connector. Now the light on the OCS wont even come on. I think I'm call in it quits for the night. Beyond frustrated and not confident that this truck won't leave me stranded.

Well guys, after many many months of troubleshooting and deliberating ive given up. This old beast needs a new heart and new wires to make it right. My dad and I came to the conclusion it can only be a bad PCM that we have installed. The end results have changed to much for it to be anything else and with out and definitive faults aside from computer induced issues. No bad wires, switches or fuses. Can only be the PCM. But in the mean time shes been hauled back to Fl to hang out on the farm til I get the time and money to start a rebuild for the kiddo. For now, i'll stick with the dually ive got myself into. But most importantly thanks for all the help and tips from every body. Bill, you've contributed a lot. Much appreciated.
