Those kits only last a month or two, then they are hazy again. The only real way to rid your truck of yellow headlights is to buy new ones.

Parts geek sells NEW headlights from Keystone, for like $17-22 each + S&H...

Just a thought.

And comes with new bulbs

Get some headlight relays they will do 2 good things. They will provide more power to the bulbs and take the load off of the headlight switch.

Ditch the tinted Silverstars. They are just marketing hype. Go with a good clear bulb like Sylvania Xtravision or GE Nighthawk or maybe something from Phillips.

I have the Hella 550 fog lights mounted in the PSD bumper. My 95 XLT came with the impact strip bumper, so do most I have seen. I think its the cleanest option for mounting a pair of lights.

I have new FoMoCo headlights in mine, they are the best. TYC makes the best aftermarket reproduction headlights I have come across. The Keystone ones are about as good. The others don't even come close to fitting right and have poor beam patterns.

I dont know where you came up with those part numbers, but they are wrong. The "hole" bumper did not come out till 94.

Whatever Brad, heres the full version. When I wanted the "hole bumper" for my F450, they had to source it by referring to it as bumper, diesel. If I felt ambitious I would find the invoice. For now, this seems to be the only tangible evidence of my experience. Perhaps Number Dummy can shed some light.

I bought a set of those from Partsgeek, and they were REALLY good quality. Good beam pattern and no weird casting, etc...

At $17-22 each, including a new bulb...That's about as cost effective as one can get for getting rid of the 19 yr old yellowed lights...

Btw, thats a generic bumper diagram. The turbo diesel bumper referred to does, in fact, have the holes. The holes were actually put in the bumper to help provide the copious amounts of intake air the 7.3 trucks needed. The exception, as I stated previously, was the FSuperDuty (450) line which sat much higher and did not have the plastic air dam...hence providing enough air without the holes in the bumper.

I've got a 95 XLT and it has a regular chrome impact strip bumper. My 96 Eddie Bauer that I bought brand new had the "hole" "diesel" or whatever bumper.

However, the thread is about lighting, and not about bumpers, or if Brad will argue a point because he thinks he's right (because we all know he will).

Getting back to lighting, I've got some PIAA combination driving/fog lights that I've had for a few years now. Had them on my 93, just mounted to the bumper, and they worked great. I haven't mounted them on my 95 yet, because I need to replace the front bumper.

I went to partsgreek and only found Action Crash and Replacement brands for my truck. How are these brands? Action Crash listed a $20 (value) and $40 (premium) light setup, how different are they?

again....junkyard...worth a try here you can get a bumper for about $30 ish...I had an entire (like new) interior trim kit from a MarkIII conversion truck...and I only paid $10 for it...so the JY may be your best bet (and friend)...
