Regardless of power and race characteristics, I had a 05 5.4 Supercrew that the phasers went out in and the spark plugs separated in the head on me. That, along with only adequate power and awful mileage, somewhat soured me on the engine. I bought a 5.0 last August and love the freaking thing. Once you go 5.0, you don't look back.

Obviously.......

There was a comment earlier saying that a guy wanted a 5.4l with the same trans that the 5.0 had.... I was replying to that.

I put an edge tuner on my 5.4 and it turned it into a whole different animal. I can't imagine what a custom tune would do.

Is the "FLEX FUEL" only the 5.0L?

What does flex fuel mean?

I saw a 2010 with 5.4L and it has the "FLEX FUEL" on the tail gate. I thought that was only the 5.0L

The 5.4L and 5.0L are both Flex Fuel capable. That means they can run E85.

The Ecoboost and the 6.2L in the F150 are not Flex Fuel capable.

No.

Can use unleaded and/or E85 ethanol.

Certain pre-2011 engines are also E85 ethanol capable.
