Federal agency spent $3 million fighting non-existent malware - Jul. 9, 2013
A Commerce Department agency spent nearly $3 million and more than a year fighting off a non-existent malware infection, going so far as to trash $170,000 worth of computers and other equipment in what an auditor cast as a wild overreaction to a misunderstood threat.

Paralyzed Man Wakes to Find His Dog Bit Off His ********
An Arkansas man paralyzed from the waist down told police he awoke Monday morning to a "burning pain," only to find his dog chewing on a ball. His ball, that is.
According to the official police report, the 39-year-old Trumann resident regularly sleeps in the raw, and was fully nude when he woke up yesterday around 7:45 AM to discover his dog "had eaten one of his *********."
The unidentified owner had rescued the "small, white, fluffy" stray just three weeks ago, and had yet to take it in for a checkup.
Sadly, the dog's first visit to a vet was to be euthanized.
The Arkansas Department of Health will test the dog's remains for rabies.
Meanwhile, adding insult to injury, the man was transported to St. Bernards Regional Medical Center to be treated.

NYC spa offers bird poop facials at $180 a pop
NEW YORK Bird poop for beauty?
That's what goes into facials at a luxury spa where the traditional Japanese treatment using imported Asian nightingale excrement mixed with rice bran goes for $180 a pop.
About 100 women and men go into the Shizuka New York skin care salon, just off Manhattan's Fifth Avenue, each month to get the treatment, which is promoted as a way to keep the face soft and smooth using an enzyme in the poop to gently exfoliate the skin.
Spa owner Shizuka Bernstein, a Tokyo native married to an American, has been offering what she calls the Geisha Facial for about five years.
"I try to bring Japanese beauty secrets to the United States," says Bernstein, who learned the treatment from her mother.
The Geisha Facial poop treatment, while relatively rare in the United States, is no secret in Japan, where it was first used in the 1600s by actors and geishas.
