Weird starting issues.

I`ve been having issues with my truck recently with trying to start after it has rained the night before. It will crank over fine but wont fire up. I end up having to get out the magical ether can and douse the intake. After this I can get a few cylinders to fire and then I floor it for about 15 seconds or so until it sounds like all 8 are running. Then it will run just fine. So I tried the normal things, new plug wires, cap and rotor with no luck. I cant seem to think of what would make it be so tempermental. I don`t think I have any injector or fuel pump issues, because as long as it hasn`t gotten damp out it fires up fine. I dont think it is a spark issue either because if it wasn`t getting spark, I don`t think the truck would run at all after ethering it. Also this truck is a 1995 F.150 4x4 with 191,xxx with no check engine light on, so I cant check for codes.

Any ideas? Ethering this thing is getting really anoying

On a nice dry day, have someone run water from your garden hose all over your windshield. You do not need a flood of water, just enough to make sure it begins running down into the engine compartment.

Have the hood open so you can watch where the water is running. You may find some odd combination of parts is running water into a no bueno area under there.

Hope this helps.
