89 f150 update, still need help!
after endless hours of messing with wires this is the conclusion ive came to but i still need help. I am getting no voltage to my ignition switch unless i put a jumper wire on my relay, once i get voltage to my ignition switch i get no power to my run wire so i assume that my ignition switch is no good, that no power is making it to the contact. But i am stumped as to why i am recieving no power to my ignition unless i put a jumper wire at the relay. all of my fuse links are good and my relays are good, so does anybody know what would cause this?

. i am getting no voltage to my ignition. the thick yellow wire thats supposed to be hot all the time has no voltage. originally before i started messing with it, i had voltage just wasnt getting voltage to my run wire. I could crank it just had no power while the key was in run position. I know replacing the ignition will probably fix my original problem of having no power to my run wire, but i dont know why im not getting any voltage to my ignition???? If i take my ecc relay off and jump it then i get voltage to my ignition but i know my relays not bad. Please help!!!

I would guess - and this is just a guess mind you - that you blew the fusable link on the solenoid end of the yellow wire when you were messing with the ignition switch.
That yellow wire, which on my truck actually splits into two yellow wires before it enters the ignition slider, needs to be hot at all times. If it is not then there is a problem with that wire, either the fuse link is blown or the wire itself is broken, possibly both.
So, I would start checking the yellow wire for power, first at the solenoid to make sure it is getting power there, then after the fuse link.

Yes, the yellow wire should be attached to the solenoid with the fuse link which is a thin short brown or blue wire depending on which engine you have. It will be crimped on the large yellow wire.
From there it runs into your ignition slider.
At some point in the harness it splits into two large yellow wires, both of which run into the slide and are hot. There are actually the same wire, it just splits into two before entering the slider.
