I got a 96 f250 ext. cab and need ball joints my axel is a dana 50 ttb and the drivers door says its a GAWR 3850. I've been reading that 3850 gawr is a Dana 44? If anyone can give me sum info would b much appreciated I'm a little confused
I know that it's a Dana 50 but my issue is the gawr. I've read that if it's a Dana 50 it's 4600 and not 3850 what my door says and I'm not sure which ball joints to get?
Not all f250s have the Dana 50. I believe that the d50s have the number 50 cast into the bottom of the third member, atleast all the ones I have seen had the number cast into them.
I believe after a certain year, all of the F250s received Dana 50 TTB axles. But regardless, looking at the axle will tell you what you really have, rather than relying on a door sticker.
